Besides the participation as exhibitor, the company has had the opportunity to watch aspiring engineering students how they implemented their creative and ambitious ideas. Dominique Bouwes (CEO, iX-factory GmbH) was part of the jury in order to find the winners of the COSIMA student competition.

The „International Conference on Micro and Nano Engineering 2011“ can be stated as success story. From the 19th to 22nd of September iX-factory was presenting its technical services to new and interesting prospects and simultaneously was glad to meet various stakeholders.

ELA Lab-on-a-Chip Conference (30th June, 2011 - 1st July, 2011) in Hamburg
Most recently iX-factory GmbH presented its services at the Lab-on-a-Chip Conference held under the European Lab Automation (ELA) event. The profound know-how of iX-factory GmbH in the area of microfluidics was the main focus on this conference. iX-factory GmbH evaluated on this promising technology with the conference participants by showing how customers and prospects can utilise microfluidics in their applications.

Hannover Messe 2011 (4th April, 2011 - 8th April, 2011) in Hannover
iX-factory GmbH started with the Hannover Messe 2011, where 6500 companies from 65 countries were presenting their technologies and innovations. Besides the North-Rhine Westphalia minister of state for economic affairs, Harry K. Voigtsberger (picture), numerous visitors showed interest in iX-factory GmbH’s technical services and the application possibilities of micro- and nano technologies. Especially, the wide range of industries and the impact the current technologies already have in today’s lives impressed the curious visitors.

Further, iX-factory GmbH is strongly engaging in educational activities concerning the emerging apprenticeship opportunities to become a micro technologist. Is has become evident that the knowledge level about this qualification is merely existent. Whilst a panel discussion with leading players on the Microsystems market, iX-factory GmbH represented by Dominique Bouwes (CEO), the future of this promising industry and the position as a micro technologist have been elaborated and experiences have been shared with different student groups.
